In December 2010 the Member States reports on the implementation of the Industrial Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC) and Waste Incineration Directives relative to the period 2006-2008 were published on the Circa website.

A new version of the Draft Technical Guidelines on Co-processing of Hazardous Waste in Cement Kilns has been submitted by Chile (as the lead country) to the Basel Convention Secretariat.

The United Nations report 'Waste and Climate Change', which was published in Cancún in December, states that greater resource efficiency and recycling could lead to reductions in carbon emissions.
