Notification C&L Portland cement clinker successfully submitted

In mid December 2010, CEMBUREAU successfully submitted, on behalf of its members, the following notification of the classification and labelling of Portland cement to the ECHA inventory.

ECHA receives over 3 million C&L notifications

Upon the expiry of the deadline of 3 January 2011, the European Chemical Agency (ECHA) received 3.1 million Classification and Labelling notifications covering a total of 107,067 different substances. All companies manufacturing or importing hazardous substances were required to classify them by 1 December 2010 and notify ECHA by 3 January 2011.

Successful REACH registration of flue dust, calcium sulfate, blast furnace slag, fly ash and burnt shale

Flue dust from the production cement clinker, calcium sulfate, blast furnace slag, fly ash and burnt shale were successfully registered by the first registration deadline of 30 November 2010.
