REACH consortium approves flue dust tests

Sample flue dust from the production of cement clinker to be used in toxicological and eco-toxicological tests has been selected from a plant using alternative fuels and alternative input materials. The test plan and laboratories appointed to carry out the tests have been approved by the Steering Committee of the REACHⁱ consortium, which at the end of 2009 was made up of 78 members from 25 different countries. The next meeting of the steering committee and technical committee of the REACH consortium is scheduled for 8 February 2010.
