Some Member States to exceed 2010 NOx emission caps

Latest estimates published by the European Environment Agency (EEA) suggest that 11 Member States are likely to exceed their 2010 NOxⁱ pollutant caps as set out in the National Emission Ceilings directive (NEC). Austria, Belgium, France, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta and Spain are expected to exceed their national NOx ceilings by more than 10%. Germany, Slovenia, Sweden and the UK are expected to exceed their ceilings by less than 10%, according to the EEA.
