CEMBUREAU – Cement industry within a low carbon economy

Brussels 9 July 2012 – CEMBUREAU, the European cement association, is in the process of developing a vision of a low carbon European cement industry for 2050 and beyond. With the aim of identifying how key stakeholders see the cement industry in the future, and in order for the industry to best identify and tackle future challenges, the Association has today launched a stakeholders’ consultation with the aim of obtaining feedback on their expectations vis-a-vis the cement sector.

This initiative follows a stakeholders’ debate which was organised at the CEMBUREAU premises on 26 April 2012, a summary of which can be found here.

The consultation will run until the 31st of August 2012. Interested stakeholders are invited to review the summary of the April 2012 debate and to contact Jessica Johnson with any additional feedback which would prove useful for the development of this project.
