REACH Alliance

The REACH Alliance was formed in 2005 to address the formidable challenge of the REACH proposal for industry sectors not traditionally considered as chemicals producers and, thus, the issues not dealt with by the chemicals sector.  The 15 industry sectors of the REACH Alliance represent an estimated total turnover well over 420 billion Euro, produce more than 2,300 million tonnes of products and provide direct employment to over 2,2 million people.

• EUROALLIAGES, the Association of European ferro-alloy producers
• EUROFER, the European Confederation of Iron and Steel Industries
• EUROGYPSUM, the European Association of Gypsum Industries
• EUROMETAUX, the European Association of Metals
• EUROMINES, the European Association of Mining Industries
• EURONICKEL, the European Nickel Industry Association
• EXCA, European Expanded Clay Association
• IMA-Europe, the Industrial Minerals Association

Work as of 2008 focused on the not less formidable challenge of implementing REACH and the follow-up of the review of Annex V.
