In 2008, CEMBUREAU became a Sustainable Energy Europe Campaign Associate. Campaign Associates are major and well-established umbrella and network organisations involving sustainable energy actors that are able to offer a range of multiplier actions through their various and effective communication channels. They have a clear vocation of serving public interest or representing the interest of industrial sectors. In addition, they contribute successfully to the objectives of the Campaign through their powerful network of contacts and their own respectability in their respective areas of work. Through a range of promotional actions they significantly increase the visibility of the Campaign and encourage Partnerships. Campaign Associates are key allies of the European Commission in the pursuit of a common interest: the wide implementation of sustainable energy development patterns throughout Europe and beyond.
EU Sustainable Energy Week - 22 to 26 March 2010
From Monday 22 to Friday 26 March 2010 the 4th edition of the EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW 2010) will take place in Brussels and in other major cities across Europe. Under the umbrella of the Sustainable Energy Europe Campaign, the EU Sustainable Energy Week is Europe’s lead event on energy issues. The focus of this year’s EUSEW is on Europe’s cities and their efforts in the fight against climate change.
